What is Stress?

Stress can be defined as any type of change that causes physical, emotional, or psychological strain. Stress is our body's response to pressure.

Everyone experiences stress to some degree. Many different situations or life events can cause stress.

Stress can consume a person to the point where they shut off from their everyday activities, responsibilities, family, friends and loved ones. We all deal with a certain amount of stress everyday but are usually able to cope and move on with what needs to be done.

What are the Types of Stress?

Stress have some several types includes acute stress, episodic acute stress and chronic stress.

Acute stress:

Acute stress we most often encounter in day-to-day life.This is a very short-term type of stress.That can either be positive or more distressing.

The symptoms of this stress include irritability, anxiety, sadness, headaches, back pain, and gut problems.

These may appear for a short time and subside when the stress eases.

Episodic acute stress:

When someone gets frequent bouts of acute stress,Episodic acute stress occurs.

In Episodic acute stress, people seem like they're constantly in a rush, always running late and are disorganized.

The symptoms are similar to acute stress.

Chronic stress:

Chronic stress is a prolonged and constant feeling of stress. This is the grinding stress that wears us down over the years.

Chronic stress can stem from traumatic experiences and childhood trauma.

If you had a traumatic experiences and childhood trauma, you may experience life as chronically stressful even when the surface appears okay.

How to reduce Stress?

There is no single, specific treatment for stress because stress is not a distinct medical diagnosis.

Treatment for stress focuses on changing the situation, developing stress coping skills such as try to get regular exercise, take care of yourself, implementing relaxation techniques,and treating symptoms or conditions that may have been caused by chronic stress.

Meditation is an excellent and highly effective tool. You can do it anywhere to let go of stressful feelings and find your inner bliss.

The best technique is to sit or lay down in a comfortable position and breathe in through your nose, out through your mouth slowly and deeply. Remember to enter the meditation with a positive intention to relieve stress and believe in the healing powers it has.
